The Perfect Relationship by Xi He Qing Ling

Chapter 13: Earth-Shattering Scandal

It was Luo Chao who broke the shocking news. At the beginning of the article, the author first introduced a mysterious boy with some seriousness. The 10-year-old boy named Shao Junling lived in the Welfare Institute. Even though his parentage was unknown, his facial features were similar to that of Yin Dong.

The article raised the first question: Why does this child look so similar to Yin Dong? The author claimed that he not only visited the Welfare Institute, but also called the local Civil Affairs Bureau this morning to understand the situation.

According to the staff of the Civil Affairs Bureau, a half a year ago, someone called them specifically to inquire about the child’s whereabouts and soon after, Yin Dong showed up at the Welfare Institute. In other words, he knew of the child’s existence early on and went directly there to find him.

The author proposed that there was a reason why Yin Chang biological mother was unknown even though Yin Dong had recognized Yin Chang ’s as his son to the outside world. Since Yin Dong was unmarried, he implied that the mother of Yin Chang was also the mother of Shao Junling.

Immediately after the introduction, the article began to describe Shao Junling’s tragic upbringing and current fate.

The author added fuel to the fire when he described how Shao Junling had lived like a cat on the streets because he ate food from the trash. He was eventually placed in the care of the Welfare Institute, but with the lack of clothing and food, and without being able to eat three meals a day, he appeared to be an eight-year-old boy even though he was actually ten years old. The numerous scars and small wounds on his arms that Lua Chao saw that day in KCF and thus described in detail, swayed readers to believe Shao Junling experienced long-term abuse in the orphanage. The whole description in words plus the photograph was eloquent and would bring anyone to tears.

After introducing Shao Junling, he compared his life with Yin Dong’s other son, Yin Chang. The article showed photos of Yin Chang wearing designer clothing when he returned to China. There were images of him when he went to Kenya and in them, fans were sending him off; he was surrounded by bodyguards and people. With millions of Internet users giving their best wishes, it was like he was the most important person that existed.

The article raised a second question: If they were both children of Yin Dong, why were their two destiny’s so different? Then, the author posted a handwritten agreement signed by Yin Dong that revealed he was in contact with Shao Junling for the past six-months and alluded to the fact that Yin Dong intended to adopt Shao Junling before the accident.

At this point, the author raised a third question: If Yin Dong intended to adopt Shao Junling, why was Yin Chang completely unaware? Was it due to the sensitive identity of Shao Junling? Or, was Yin Chang ignoring his father’s legacy?

Luo Chao and his entourage were very well versed in inciting netizens’ emotions through gossip marketing. Even though the article never stated that Shao Junling was Yin Dong’s illegitimate son, it was implied explicitly. The eye-catching headline, which not only stripped Yin Dong’s identity as being unwed, it highlighted an unlawful affair and dragged Yin Chang down into the mire.

As soon as this article was published, everyone was outraged.

Since Yin Dong was dead, Internet users had only one place they were able to vent their anger and place their blame on: Yin Chang. In a matter of hours, his Twitter account was filled with aggressive trolls.

“One child has no mother and the second child has no mother. Yin Dong was a complete scum!”

“Does anyone think that the idiom of ‘down-in-the-dumps’ is particularly suitable for Yin Dong?” [Laughing Out Loud]

“What about Yin Chang’s inheritance? Was Yin Dong even his father?” [Smirk]

  ……

Without a response from Yin Chang, netizens were out of control. In order to find more information, they began to investigate his private life. They discovered Yin Chang ’s foreign school and his acquaintances there. Several friends had posted pictures of him which clearly illustrated his luxurious life abroad. Not only were there numerous photographs taken in bars with many friends, there were also lovey photographs of Yin Chang and his girlfriends at various places that he had at various times throughout high school. Through these photographs, it was clear Yin Chang was as popular as his movie star father.

“A school with a tuition of 500,000 a year? That kind of money was enough to feed all of the children in the orphanage!”

“I thought he was the perfect male idol, but he turned out to be a playboy!” [Shock]

“Isn’t he just eighteen years old? How is he drinking?” [Addict]

“Wow, all of his girls were busty-blonde-babes.” [Drool]

……

Other people even gave voice to their belief that Yin Chang knew Shao Junling from before and he was keeping Shao Junling the orphanage so he could be the sole heir to his father’s fortune.

“Ordinary Brothers fight each other for a bowl full of noodles while the rich throw their younger brothers in a Welfare Institute to steal their inheritance.” [Smirk]

“Even if they are half-brothers, they are still bound by blood. This is really disgusting!” [Rage]

“No matter how handsome he is,  I can’t follow a jerk.” [Goodbye]

“Debut at noon and rolled over at night. Yin Chang was the fastest star to rise and fall.” [Laugh]

  ……

The momentum came too quickly and Lu Lingjuan was too late to respond. When Yao Manhuai called her to the office, the poor girl was crying: “I’m sorry, President Yao …” She apologized profusely and wanted to make up for it: “I didn’t even understand the ins and outs of this matter so I didn’t know how to fight back.”

Yao Manhuai was very angry when she saw the situation on the Internet. She went through great lengths to give Yin Dong the perfect curtain call with the most perfect image, but it was all destroyed by the news in an instant.

Since it wasn’t Lu Lingxuan’s fault, she couldn’t put the blame on her. Even she didn’t know of Yin Dong’s plan and was shocked by the news. “What’s the situation like currently?” Now with a headache, Yao Manhaui rubbed the bridge of her nose.

“I closed the comment area and tried to find a PR team to delete the comments, but it didn’t help at all. There were too many people negatively criticizing Yin Chang and Yin Dong. Many media outlets have turned their attention to this matter. Although Fast Dog Entertainment has a poor reputation, the articles they normally produce aren’t without facts. Plus, the emotional impact that the article produced….. Ah, Yin Chang’s fanbase fell as fast as they rose. His true fans are all running away.” With red eyes, Lu Lingxuan lamented.

“His account was only opened for one day there is no way his fans are that true. These types of fans come and go all the time so you don’t need to concern yourself with them. Continue to contact PR to withdraw the comments and monitor his account. I will take care of the rest. There is another matter that is more important than this….”

The telephone on the desk rang.

Lu Lingxuan: “What is it?”

“Keep an eye on Yin Chang. Don’t let him go out.” Yao Manhuai signaled to Lu Lingxuan to let her leave then she answered the phone.

“Sister Yao, I found out…” On the phone was Yang Jiajia’s guilty voice. “The day after the plane crash, we did receive an e-mail from the Welfare Institute, however, it was mixed up with the numerous other emailed-letters of condolences. Since Yin Dong had donated money to the Welfare Institute, we thought they also had sent a letter of condolence. As a result, the email wasn’t read fully….”

Yao Manhuai was angry now and her commanding tone reflected her current state of emotions: “Whether the email was read or not wasn’t what’s important right now. What I want to know is whether or not Yin Dong had a parent-child relationship with the boy over the past six months. Do you know anything about it?”

“Usually, I was only responsible for work related matters. Yin Dong didn’t let me interfere with his private life that much.” Yang Jiajia answered her and then followed up: “In January, he did specifically ask me to leave his schedule open every Saturday unless there was something extremely important to do. At the time, I had asked him what his reasons were… He told me he was making arrangements in his private life so I didn’t inquire about it further.”

In an instant, Yao Manhuai was furious: “Only responsible for work? Didn’t dare to take charge? Yang Jiajia! Although Yin Dong is already a famous star, he is also in your care! You don’t even know what he had been doing every Saturday for six months and you call yourself his agent!? What the hell! Do you think even in his position, he couldn’t crumble? You forget about Peng Long! He was more famous and an international martial arts superstar. Look what happened to him in a moment of negative news!  Yin Dong was only a domestic star!”

Yang Jiajia weakly retorted: “Yin Dong and Peng Long aren’t the same …”

Hearing Yang Jiajia’s fallacious arguments, Yao Manhuai became even more angry. She slammed her fist on the desk and scolded him: “How can you take this so lightly? How many people are jealous of his achievements!? How many people are jealous of his status!? You don’t even have a little sense of crisis! “

Yang Jiajia was crying. There was nothing to say but “sorry”.

Disappointed in him, Yao Manhaui yelled: “Don’t tell me you’re sorry! If this matter can’t be turned around, I’m sorry for Yin Dong in his grave. Yin Chang had given us the future!”

Yang Jiajia choked up. He took a moment to think about what Yao Manhuai’s was saying. He replied: “I’ll call the Welfare Institute right away.”

Chapter 12: The Calm Before the Storm

After hanging up, Yao Manhuai began to look for a suitable agent for Yin Chang.

It was at this time that Lu Lingxuan came into her office to make a report: “Director Yao, yesterday evening, a total of thirty-seven companies approached Yin Chang and seventeen of them were interested in doing business with him. We have received additional business inquires today. How do you want to deal with them?”

Yao Manhuai looked up at her in thought and suddenly asked: “What do you think of Yin Chang?”

“With his first-class upbringing and first-class looks, no matter what avenue he takes in the industry, Yin Chang has what it takes to become a popular star.” Lu Lingxuan expressed her thoughts in professional terms then continued with her own views: “Last time you asked me to go to Kenya with him and initially, as Yin Chang was a wealthy young man, I thought he would be rather difficult to deal with, but to my surprise, he was easy to get along with. He was a complete gentleman.”

Yao Manhuai asked: “If I let you be his agent; would you fall for him?”

Lu Lingxuan: “Who wouldn’t like such a person … Wait, wait! Director, do you want me to be Yin Chang’s agent?”

Yao Manhuai: “Yes, he’s decided to make a debut. But, unlike the other stars in the company, I’ll arrange his career plans myself. However, my current time and energy are limited, so I wanted to select a full-time manager for him.”

At first, Yao Manhuai thought of three candidates: Yang Jiajia, Yuan Qian and Lu Linxuan.

With the most experience being Yao Manhaui’s right-hand, Yang Jiajia qualifications need not be explained. Next, Yuan Qian was also a veteran agent with years of working in the industry. He was very professional and has helped cultivate many artists to maturity. Among the three, having been in the industry for only one year, Lu Lingxuan had the least seniority and has never worked with someone long term. However, despite these shortcomings, her keen observations and quick response in business situations far exceeds other peoples’ intuition. Given a chance, she would easily surpass anyone else.

In fact, when she arranged for Lu Lingxuan to accompany Yin Chang to Kenya, Yao Manhuai already had a plan in mind. She told Lu Lingxuan: “I think you’re better suited for this position and if you do well, I’ll gradually let you take over his management alone.”

Lu Lingxuan excitedly said: “Really?”

As a new agent, she knew how important Yin Chang’s all-too-perfect-stock was to her, but she never expected Yao Manhuai to give her this opportunity. Afraid Yao Manhuai would second guess her offer, Lu Lingxuan clenched her hand and gestured with a fist pump: “I’ll do my best!”

Yao Manhuai chuckled and replied: “I believe in you, but it will depend on Yin Chang’s choice.”

Lu Lingxuan face turned red: “Oh….”

Yao Manhuai: “In case he does chose you, I want to remind you of a few things beforehand.”

Lu Lingxuan: “What’s that?”

Yao Manhuai: “As an agent, especially for a woman, the most challenging aspect isn’t being a manager, but how to maintain an appropriate relationship with a male artist.”

Yes, Lu Lingjuan and Yin Chang were the closest in age. In the past, Yao Manhuai has heard Yin Dong say that Yin Chang’s longing for affection was very deep. Since an agent was intimately involved in an artist’s life, she was afraid that over time, the boundaries between work and emotions would become confused.

After listening to Yao Manhuai’s explanation, Lu Lingxuan realized just why she had asked her if she would fall for him. She laughed and said: “Director, I assure you, there won’t be a problem. I’m seven years older than Yin Chang and no matter how handsome he is, in my eyes, he is still a child!”

Yao Manhuai: “Even though Yin Chang is still young, after you become his agent, not only will you help him with work, you will also be helping him manage his life. Since you will be with him all the time, inevitably, his trust in you will deepen and he will become dependent on you.”

“No way. I look ordinary and Yin Chang wouldn’t look at me in that way. Director, you over estimate me!” In order to appease Yao Manhuai, Lu Lingxuan laughed at herself and joked: “Besides, you know that I’m a Mi Xiu fan. Even if I wanted to have a relationship with a famous actor, my first choice would be him.”

Mi Xiu was the top star of the new generation. Two years ago, he became famous through a phenomenal talent show called, Absolute Idol. He was only twenty-one years old this year and has already become popular in the entertainment industry.

Yao Manhuai: “Well, I’m sure you will handle it well.”

Lu Lingxuan gave an OK gesture: “You can put your faith in me and even if that happens — although I think it’s absolutely impossible — I will guide Yin Chang rationally.”

After discussions with Lu Lingxuan, Yao Manhuai sent information about the three agents to Yin Chang so he could choose who he wanted to work with.

As Yao Manhuai expected, Yin Chang chose Lu Lingxuan: “Lu Lingxuan. I think she’s very good.”

After getting the answer from Yin Chang, Yao Manhuai took the time to find Lu Lingxuan and explained the arrangements she had made for Yin Chang to her for the next phase of his development.

Considering that Yin Dong died recently, for the next six months, Yao Manhuai won’t let Yin Chang appear too active in front of the media. Even so, since Yin Chang was a sensitive person, she wouldn’t let him rest for too long. Since work and an established routine would help him recover from his father’s death, she wanted to start his training as soon as possible in order to avoid him falling into deep depression.

While Yin Dong’s death continued to be on everyone’s mind, Yao Manghuai and Lu Lingxuan asked Yin Chang for some basic information about himself and used it to start an official Twitter account. The social media page would officially be used as and avenue for his debut and public relations. Thus, by updating his personal status and events, fans can feel like they are part of his personal world.

Now that she had the necessary information, Lu Lingxuan contacted Yin Chang to confirmed with him: “Have you ever opened a Twitter account before?”

“Yes. There is one.” Yin Chang said.

When he went to Kenya, Lu Lingxuan asked him to read the comments of netizens. It wasn’t convenient to use someone else’s mobile phone so he created one for himself. The account was called: #IWillGiveYouAllMyTenderness.

When Lu Lingxuan turned on her mobile phone to check the account, she found nothing posted and even the avatar was blank. She said: “You can use this as your private account. I’m talking about an official account with your real name.”

Yin Chang frowned: “Is that necessary?”

Lu Lingxuan said: “Give me your information and I will help you register one. I will help you manage it in the future too. Before I make an official post, you can check it over, okay?”

Yin Chang: “OK.”

Lu Lingxuan followed Yin Chang’s personal handle with her agent account and reminded him: “By the way, don’t post anything on your private account, especially if it doesn’t fit with your persona. Several once-promising stars have fallen by the wayside because of what they posted on their private accounts. The ending for the star was tragic.”

Yin Chang was confused and asked: “What do you mean?”

Lu Lingxuan explained: “Some stars in order to cater to the public, contrary to their naure, they would deliberately create a flattering persona. However, once their true character comes out, the audience and fans are often greatly disappointed. For example, if on the surface they were a kind lover, but behind the scene they were in fact irresponsible jerk. Another example, if they portrayed themselves as quiet and pure but real evidence contradicted their persona, their manipulation makes them untrustworthy in the eyes of fans and as a result, the star’s reputation is severely damaged.”

Having listened to someone with experience in the business, Yin Chang was thoughtful.

Lu Lingxuan: “Of course, there are no shortage of rumor-mongering in the entertainment circle. Take for example, the people who often make money by exposing corruption and gossip about actors for the sake of gaining attention because of some trifling matters. The gossip is often exaggerated and foolish, but also mixed with some truth so it is very difficult for the audience to tell what is true and what isn’t. Many times, it isn’t something that can be explained easily so the rumor becomes unmanageable. Like stepping on shit, you can wipe it off, but you can’t hide the smell. In any case, as long as you can sit up straight, you don’t have to worry about it because the agency will handle it for you.”

Yin Chang: “Oh …”

The following morning, Yin Chang’s official Social Media account was created.

At twelve noon, “he” sent a tweet: “I am Yin Chang. Thank you for your comfort and blessings during this time of mourning and I look forward to your care in the future.”

The photo was the picture that Lu Lingxuan took last night when Yin Chang was standing by the floor-to-ceiling windows.

After the tweet was sent, Lu Lingxuan posted a link to Yin Chang’s page to the agency’s internal website. Soon, not only did the artists from within the agency follow him, but all of the big stars and corporate business people that were at Yin Dong’s memorial follow him as well. It didn’t take long for his handle to quickly rise in popularity and reach one million followers.

“At last, Yin Chang’s Twitter account has been created and the people who were left behind have organized!” [Cry]

“Oh my god, you’re here! Let us love you for Yin Dong!” [Heart]

“So handsome!”

  ……

However, in addition to the multitude of supporting messages, there were many voices of doubt.

“What does this tweet mean? The father’s dead son thought of becoming an actor?”

“The first star in history to take advantage of his dad’s death was really evil.”

In response to the malicious comments, Lu Lingxuan quickly offered criticism in attempts to control the flow——

“Funny, his father was a movie star so if he wanted to make his debut early, why did he wait until now?”

“At the age of eighteen, he has a net worth of over 100 million and is handsome to boot. If you are jealous, just say so.”

“The son has inherited his father’s business so what’s wrong with Yin Chang learning about it now?”

“He just sent a Tweet to thank netizens for their previous support. Where does it say he is going to make a debut?”

……

Under Lu Lingxuan’s careful management, the social media outlet was a harmonious and calm. However, the calm before the storm ended at five in the evening when a news article published by Fast Dog Entertainment was released. It was titled, “Suspected illegitimate son exiled to a tragic fate.” It swept through the internet like a tidal-wave, leaving Yin Chang’s social media page in its wake. The destructive nature of the information was terrible for Yin Chang and his account became a battleground for gossip.

The Perfect Relationship by Xi He Qing Ling

Chapter 11: Secret Videos

When he got home, Yin Chang sat alone on the sofa and thought about what Yao Manhuai’s said. Three years ago, he was exposed to the public for the first time because of paparazzi photos. Since Yin Dong reacted strongly to the exposure, he thought his father didn’t want him to get involved in show business.

Indeed, there are many negative things about the entertainment world, but after his father’s death, he also saw countless fans online expressing their heartfelt condolences. Yao Manhuai was right. Although Yin Dong sacrificed his time with him, his film and television works have influenced the audience and his efforts had helped many people.

Tonight, many celebrities came to Yin Dong’s ceremony to mourn for him. Not only did they pay their respects, they came to offer condolences to Yin Chang and also to comfort and encourage him. It’s all proof that his father’s life as an actor was a success.

It was for this very reason that Yin Chang had no confidence in himself as an actor. To be honest, Yao Manhuai’s last statement about always being there for Yin Chang was more tempting than any of her other arguments. From when he was young, Yao Manhuai was part of his life and helped him solve many problems. Yin Chang treated her as a trusted relative.

Yin Chang had been mulling it over for two days. Tonight, he realized that if not for his father, would Yao Manhuai continue to be part of his life? But, would she even answer him if he asked?

……

Leaning over, Yin Chang sighed and switched his seating position on the sofa. He accidentally pressed the TV remote that was wedged between the cushions. An image suddenly appeared on the TV.

As the message that the player was reading the disc appeared on the screen, Yin Chang thought it was just a movie that his father had been watching at home. He was about to turn it off, but he stopped when he saw a younger version of his father appear on the screen. He said: “Little Chang, look here!”

It was Yin Dong shooting a video of a boy that was looking down and playing with his toys. It was Yin Chang when he was five years old.

“What are you playing with?”

“Transformers.” Yin Chang replied in a quiet voice while he was playing with his toys.

“Are Transformers fun?” Yin Dong asked the boy.

“Yes! They are fun!” Yin Chang’s words were very bright and clear at first, but his tone changed and quietly said: “But it’s not fun to be alone.”

“Why isn’t it fun?”

Yin Chang didn’t answer him. After more than ten seconds he asked: “Dad, when will you give me a little brother?”

Without being able to see Little Chang’s face, Yin Dong replied softly: “Dad doesn’t have a lover. How can I give you a little brother?”

Yin Chang demanded: “Then go find one!”

Yin Dong: “Dad is very busy. I don’t have the time to find one.”

Now silent, Yin Chang fiddled with his Transformers instead.

Even so, Yin Dong continued to shoot video and asked in an easy-going tone: “Why do you want a little brother so much?”

It was at this time that Yin Chang turned his head to face the camera and firmly stated: “So I will have someone to be with when you go to work!”

Yin Dong said helplessly: “Don’t you have Fiona?”

Yin Chang raised his voice: “Fiona can’t! She’s an adult!”

Yin Dong tried to guide him: “What about your friends from school?”

Yin Chang was anxious and yelled: “My friends from school go home right afterwards. They all have Fathers and Mothers and Brothers and Sisters. I’m the only one alone!”

Seeing how upset he had become, Yin Dong immediately said: “Oh, don’t cry, don’t cry, dad will play with you!”

The picture swayed and then went black. Staring at the screen, Yin Chang remained silent. Before he had time to think about what he had just watched, another video started.

“Little Chang. ” It was still Yin Dong’s voice.

On the TV screen, Yin Chang was watching a cartoon with his back towards the video camera. He was wearing a blue T-shirt with a Pikachu logo on its back. This time, he looked about seven years old.

“Little Chang!” Yin Dong called him again.

Yin Chang stared at the TV intently, as if he hadn’t heard Yin Dong’s call.

“Little Chang, look here. Dad is making a video of you. Don’t you like it?”

“I don’t like it …” His wasn’t focused on Yin Dong at all.

“You don’t like it? Then, will you take a video of Dad?”

Yin Chang quickly refused: “I don’t want to.”

“Is this Pokémon? You’ve already seen it many times so why not?” Cajoling him, Yin Dong moved closer: “Come on, Dad will teach you about taking a video.”

Yin Chang was finally disturbed at scolded his father: “You’re so annoying!”

Yin Dong: “…”

The camera continued to video Yin Chang watching TV for a short while. During this period, Yin Dong didn’t speak again and Yin Chang never looked back. As if it was a silent film, the only sound was the background music from the cartoon.

Watching on the couch, Yin Chang sat there dumbfounded. He had no recollection of these scenes from the past. After a short time, another video started.

Yin Dong appeared on the screen holding a video camera. While muffled sounds could be heard, the picture switched direction. Presumably, he put the camera in his hand by his side. The image showed a hand knocking on a door.

“Come in.” Came a hoarse voice from inside.

The hand pushed the door opened and in view was the back of a teenager sitting in a swivel chair. As the teen twisted his head to look behind him, he took his headphones off and placed them around his neck.

“Yin Chang …” Yin Dong asked unnaturally: “Do you have plans for the afternoon?”

“I asked Evan if he wanted to go see a movie.” On screen, Yin Chang lost most of his child-like features. His straight nose and deep brow were that of an adult, but his cracking voice revealed his current growing period.

“I’m leaving in the afternoon.” Yin Dong.

“Oh.” His expression was unhappy and his tone was calm: “Have a good day.”

“That …” Yin Dong seemed like he was about to say something else.

When Yin Chang discovered the video recorder in Yin Dong’s hand, he furrowed his brow and asked, slightly irritated: “Are you filming me?”

“Oh, sorry, I forgot to turn it off.” Immediately, as the recording was turned off, the screen went dark.

Yin Chang remembered the incident in the last video. It was his first year of high school and that evening was Family Night. All of the students were invited to eat dinner together with their parents.

He didn’t tell Yin Dong because he had overheard him on the phone with his assistant. In order to see Yin Chang for two days, he had pushed back the filming schedule, causing a delay. His assistant was calling him to make flight arrangements as there was only one more flight out that would arrive in time for Yin Dong to begin work on the film set.

He knew that Yin Dong was going to leave this afternoon to film and there wasn’t anything he could say to make him stay. If he had said something , it would only cause more trouble for his father. Having lied, Yin Chang was afraid his father would find out, so he went outside and wandered around alone all afternoon.

……

Seeing these videos now, Yin Chang was enlightened….  It turned out, when he was a child, he could express his loneliness so straightforwardly. It also seemed like Yin Dong was assessing his propensity towards film.

It wasn’t that Yin Chang didn’t have any inclination to film, rather, his aversion to acting steamed from the fact that, growing up next to an award-winning actor, any acting on his part seemed lame.

Thinking of Yin Dong quietly recording these scenes when he didn’t notice as a child and then playing them over and over again now in his home…. Was proof of his father’s love. Yin Chang felt like his heart had been lifted up.

Yin Chang covered his face and slowly slid onto the carpet. Between the gaps of his fingers, tears silently fell.

Early the next morning, Yu Chang sent a message to Yao Manhuai: “Aunt Yao, I think…. Well, I want to try acting.”

Since Yin Dong used his status to protect him so well, he was able to live abroad and enjoy a free and comfortable life for many years. Now that he had decided to take over his father’s business, he must have some understanding of the industry. Yao Manhuai’s suggestion had a point.

Yao Manhuai confirmed: “Are you certain? Do you have any questions?”

Yin Chang: “I’m just a little worried that I won’t be good enough.”

Yao Manhuai chuckled: “Little Chang, no one can be perfect from the start. Just work at it little by little and you will grow. Alright, don’t overthink it so much and as I’ve already told you, you aren’t alone. I’ll be here with you along the way.”

Yin Chang: “Hmm.”

Yao Manhuai once again spoke: “However, now that you have decided on your future path, you will need to suspend your studies abroad and return home. Spend the next few days dealing with things in Pasadena and plan to move back to China. I’ll select an agent for you as soon as possible to help you make arrangements.”

Yin Chang was stunned: “You aren’t going to be my agent?”

Yao Manhuai: “I now have to take care of Nova Entertainment’s management. I can’t be your agent like I was with your father, but you don’t have to worry. I will be making all of the key decisions related to your development. The duties of your selected agent are more like an assistant then they are at making career decisions.”

Yin Chang: “Okay……”
